This year, I’ll be relying on my new favorite AI assistant — ChatGPT by open AI. ChatGPT is an incredibly smart tool that can help with all sorts of creative prompts and holiday tasks.
In this post, I’ll be sharing 5 fun Christmas prompts you can try with ChatGPT this holiday season. These chatbot prompts range from helping plan your Christmas dinner, to becoming your own personal quiz show host! I’ll also provide some tips for getting the most out of these AI-powered experiences.

The holidays are prime time for festive chores and hosting groups of family and friends. If you’re in charge of Christmas dinner this year, planning the menu and cooking schedule can get hectic.
That’s why I asked ChatGPT to help generate a holiday [Christmas dinner] cooking plan to keep me on track. Here was the specific prompt I used:
“Can you create me a Gantt chart scheduling out a plan for cooking Christmas dinner for 8 people? Include tasks like shopping, prep work times, cook times, and clean up.”
And here was ChatGPT’s super helpful response:

As you can see, ChatGPT did an awesome job mapping out a full schedule of Christmas cooking tasks. I especially like that it included estimated durations for prep work, cook times, and clean up after the meal.
This holiday hero even reminded me to account for thawing the turkey ahead of the big day! With ChatGPT’s Christmas dinner planning aid, I can cook worry-free this year and focus on spending quality time with friends and family.
2.Becoming Your Own Christmas Quiz Show Host with ChatGPT
The holidays are usually filled with family gatherings and board games. But this year, why not step up your game night and become your family’s own personal [Christmas Quiz] show host, with a little help from ChatGPT?
I simply prompted ChatGPT asking for a holiday-themed quiz show script, just like this:
“Please write 20 trivia questions for a Christmas quiz game I can host for my family. Make the questions holiday related.”
And ChatGPT delivered an entire custom game show script for me! Here’s a short snippet of some of the fun and festive questions:
- Which of Santa’s reindeer shares a name with a famous symbol of Valentine’s Day?
- In the 1964 animated special “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer”, what was the name of the elf who dreamed of being a dentist?

I can really play up the role of quizmaster, complete with my own themed intro, contestant interviews, funny anecdotes about my family’s past Christmas mishaps between questions, and wrap everything up with a final prizing ceremony. Honestly, after seeing the thoughtful quiz questions, this just might become our new family tradition!
